The Putnam County Department of Health is made of several divisions all working towards improving and protecting the health of the community. Click on one of the options below to learn more about that division.

Putnam County Department of Health Announces Moms Groups to Begin in June
Two New Moms Support Groups facilitated by health department maternal child health nurses will be starting at the end of June:
- Mahopac Library, located at 668 Route 6 in Mahopac, in the Lakeview Room
Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. beginning June 21 - Philipstown Friendship Center located at 6 Butterfield Road in Cold Spring
Thursdays from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. beginning June 22
Both groups are free to attend and do not require pre-registration. Meet other parents with children from 0 to 3 years of age and receive answers to all your parenting questions. Health department nurses, including a certified lactation consultant, will be available to answer questions ranging from sleeping, breastfeeding, milestones, and more.
For questions, please call the health department at 845-808-1390 and ask to speak to a maternal child health nurse. Parents of young children can also stay up-to-date with information and events geared toward young children by following us on Facebook at facebook.com/putnamparents.
